From the owner:
For sale is a 2001 BMW 325iT Sport Manual (wagon) with rear wheel drive. Rare car, less than 200 sport manual wagons estimated were built for this model year (I looked for over a year to find a car in this configuration and condition).
Car is Alpine White over Beige Leatherette with approximately 157k miles. 3rd owner. I am a longtime BMWCCA member, and I have owned 4 BMWs (3 e46s and a Z4). the touring spent the first 11 years of its life in San Francisco (owned by the wife of a BMW shop owner) before I had it shipped to Boston in 2012. Sunroof (known BMW issue) still operable with no leaks and car still has original tonneau (trunk storage) cover, as well as original key, valet key and plastic safety key….along with majority of receipts since new.
Car in very good mechanical and interior condition, with oil changes every 5-7k miles and maintained by Boston’s best BMW indie mechanic. Nonsmoking non pet car, so seating, carpet and plastics are in very good condition (no rips or major stains). Price includes both winter (Blizzak) tires on OEM rims. Still, the New England winters have caused some of the typical BMW rust spots to surface within the last year (surface rust on interior rocker panels, quarter sized paint bubbling in rear quarter panels).
With the upgraded suspension, Turner subframe plates and AKG polyurethane subframe bushings, it would make an excellent starter car for a teenager, winter driver or perfect track car. I’m only selling as I need at least 1 automatic transmission due to a knee issue.
Full disclosure: Car was in a front end accident in 2013. A car ran thru a stop sign and pulled right out in front of me, I hit him (passenger side of the front bumper) at approx 30 mph. Airbags did not deploy nor was there frame damage. I bought the car back from the insurance company, since it was such a rare car..and I did the rebuilding myself. Front hood, bumper, lights/grill passenger quarter were replaced from a FL donor car. In terms of mechanical, I stripped everything in front of the engine that was not metal (save the AC condenser and any wiring from the DME that was still good) and replaced it with OEM parts. (Parts alone were approx $4k). Post repair, car was given a clean bill of health by Boston’s best BMW indie shop and the title is CLEAR (not salvage, not rebuilt).

From us:
We really like these e46 wagons and we also really like the fact that the owner is clearly a BMW enthusiast! We’d want to see receipts for all maintenance. PPI and Carfax before you buy!
