1993 Mustang LX

From the owner

From the seller:

“This car IS a daily driver, NOT an abandoned wanna-be race project or rusted out yard art that someone never got to. It is a somewhat rough looking 1993 5.0 Foxbody. 96K indicated, un-verified miles.

It has been reliable transportation since purchased for son in 2013. May sound cliche, but it is seriously time to replace it with a economical commuter for college. We bought the car pretty much as is and have fixed any mechanical issues as they appeared. As you can tell from the pictures, it is desperate for paint and body work. The floor pans are solid but some areas under the car is starting to show typical corrosion, but nothing is serious or rusted through, limited to surface corrosion, not structural.

Last 6 moths: Rebuilt T5 (World Class) with updated synchro rings and new 1st, 2nd, mainshaft, counter shaft, all bearings, seals and upgraded thrust washers. New HD Luk Clutch, New brakes axle seals and hub bearings, new upper/lower intake seals.

If you know 5.0 Mustangs, you may appreciate the small things that have been repaired/replaced in the last few years: Functional ash tray door, Door/hatch seals, Driver door, hinges and spring, Driver seat foam replaced, Headlights, marker lights, New carpet, Spare tire jack, radiator, water pump, thermostat, ETC.

The car is modified with typical bolt-on mods NOT installed by me: Auto to T5 conversion, B&M shifter, Steeda Tri-ax shift Handle, Aeromotive fuel rails, BBK headers, off-road H-pipe, MAC cat-back, under drive pulleys, larger MAF (19lbs calibration). Upper/Lower intake port-matched to decently ported iron heads, front and rear lowering springs.

I have not been into the long block but it feels like it has a small 303 cam, the car feels like it has about 275-300 hp. Nothing exotic, basic stuff but car is showing it’s age.

Is it perfect? Nope.

Can you safely drive it? Yep.

What color is it? IMO, it is an amateurish attempt at root beer metallic with a 20 year old patina that needs serious help but still attracts some strange compliments. It needs paint and body work to look normal. It is original color is Calypso Corral.

What else is wrong with it? Front Passenger qtr panel dented from wet weather learning experience (aka slid off in ditch with white stuff on the road, lesson #1), Power door locks, A/C removed, smog equipment not in tact, needs shocks/struts.

Would like to sell soon so I can get my Lightning back from my son, but I will not give the car away either. I also have 4 lug Weld Rod Lite wheels to go with the car only if negotiated with the sale.

No trades unless you have a low mileage perfect condition car that is obviously worth a significant amount more than a 93 5.0 that also looks and drives like a 26 year old car.
Random requests for lower price will be ignored, please call to discuss the condition or ask about things I may not have listed. Or you can compose a good text/email with valid questions. Thanks.

From us:

This a well done, perfectly functional Mustang. Not much to know, not much worth knowing. It’s got a funky paint job, it’s got a 5.0, it’s got a 5 speed, it’s RWD. You can drive it as is or fix it up nice, either way you’ll probably have a blast.
